Largely cloudy with a few bright spells.


Starting cold but sunny in south-east England with some patchy frost, but becoming cloudier. Generally cloudy elsewhere with the odd spot of light rain and drizzle, but some bright spells too. Breezier across north-west Scotland with some rain.


Rain will become more persistent across northern and western Scotland. Elsewhere, mostly cloudy and dry with the some patchy light rain. Turning colder across the Northern Isles with wintry showers.


Rain across Scotland will become sporadic as it pushes into Northern Ireland and northern England. To the south, mostly dry with some brightness. Colder, brighter with scattered showers across Scotland.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday

Cooler weekend for many with early frosts and scattered showers, mainly in the north. Rain sinking southwards on Monday, thereafter colder with gales and wintry showers, especially in the north.
